| Interesting study on the MMR Vaccine |
Being quite proactive people, we tend to look into things in depth, rather than just blindly accepting directives from the powers that be as gospel. This research on the whole usually throws up some really interesting information. It takes abit of time, but is so worth it. This ultimately gives us direction based on our thorough, independant research rather than relying on the media / marketing spin machines attached to the corporate interests usually at play behind most of what we are told what to do. Cynical, yes...... For all of those parents out there that have, or are about to give, their children the combined MMR Vaccine (Measles Mumps and Ruebella) this series of you tube clips is a must. I have been reading for years about this supposed connection between the MMR Vaccine and Autism but this is the first easy access interview I have come across. And just in time as we near another set of intense conversations with various people about vaccinating our children. The interview is the first that Dr Wakefield has given to address the controversy and puts forward his version of events behind British Medical Journal Lancet's decision to retract his original 1998 Research paper into this hotly debated topic. Footnote. Since posting this article we have had some intense feedback already. All I can suggest is that if you are interested it is vital to watch most, if not all, of the interview as it gets into the crux of the matter about 30 - 40 minutes into the video. For those with the interest, the time and the patience this lengthy interview is very rewarding. Why the medical authorites went to such lengths to suppress the research done on this topic by Dr Andrew Wakefield. This topic is very close to us after spending so much time working alongside speech therapist Johan Langfield on his massive and thoroughly well researched Speech & Communication website icommunicate. I found working on the section on autism fascinating, and when you take a look at the incredible rise in autism diagnosis it does have to make you wonder why. Perhaps the information in this clip goes part of the way to answering some of those questions. Dr Wakefield has encountered a media storm of controversy over the last couple of months since Lancet retracted hs original 1998 paper in Feb 2010. I found references to this on several NZ Medical websites, including the Immunisation Advisory Centre Website run by the University of Auckland. I thought about the benefits of keeping traffic on our website verses sharing this vital knowledge, and in the end the thought of all those out there getting pressured into just blindly accepting these vaccine programmes without really looking into them won. I urge you to click on this link here and visit youtube to see the rest in the series. If you have children, or are about to have children, it will be an hour well spent. Even if you are not in the market for the MMR vaccine it may make you think hard about other vaccines such as the Swine Flu Vaccine that is getting heavily promoted. The compromise to this is that I will post the first of the clips here (there are 10 in total) so that you can get a feel for the rest, but I do urge you to click on the link above and watch the rest on youtube to get the full story about the thorough research conducted, the results and the subsequent media frenzy behind discrediting this doctor and his research. The question is now, after watching this, what do we do about Maia and her vaccine programme? For those that are really interested in even more research I suggest you copy and paste the link (between the <>) to Dr Mercola's website I have to say also that the Dr Mercola site is a wealth of knowledge. This is the power of the internet right here! |
