beastie-boys-revisitedWell here it is. 25 Years in the making. Can you believe that it was back in '86 that Licensed to Ill came out! Showing my age right there, but when that album came out it changed my record collection.
The Beastie Boys have just dropped their long awaited, much anticipated, 30 minute, short movie length video for the Revisited version of "Fight for your Right".

One word. EPIC. Just shut up and watch it.

This is one of those seminal music history moments. The biggest stars of the Hollywood counter culture (well those that make the most cutting edge straight Hollywood movies anyway) met the music that defined a generation, and shaped an entire culture. In my humble opinion The Beastie Boys really are all that and a bag of chups.

What an honour it must be to encounter such a stage in your musical career when you can make a music video featuring such mega-star luminary's as Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon, Ted Danson, Jack Black, Steve Buscemi, Orlando Bloom, Chloe Sevigny, Will Ferrell, & John C. Reilly.

But you want the real treat amongst all of this, The Beastie Boys streamed their entire new album, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 live at center court of Madison Square Garden. A Sasquatch came too. Check it after the read more, they also posted it to youtube to share with the world.

Isn't that just the best. I am leaving this article open in a new tab and just streaming it.
Cheers Beastie Boys, you rock. I am heading over here at the same time to buy it to.

This "Revisited" video has been a long time coming, has been much hyped and much anticipated. What a jumping point to leverage a new album!

The video features a plethora of Hollywood heavyweights. See if you can spot the cameos as well as the core cast. It seems that there are no extras on this set, just a cast full of big noters. Check it for Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, David Cross , Jack Black, Orlando Bloom, Rashida Jones, Will Arnett, Adam Scott, Mike Mills, Rainn Wilson, Arabella Field, Ted Danson, Roman Coppella, Shannyn Sossamon, Steve Buscemi, Amy Poehler, Mary Steenburgen, Alicia Silverstone, Laura Dern, Jason Schwartzman, Chloe Sevigny, Kirsten Dunst, Maya Rudolph, and a cameo by the Beasties themselves as the New York cops at the end. Just stylish.
