They have struck out by taking control of as much media as they possibly can by purchasing key search phrases in google amongst other things. Is this going to help or harm them one wonders? Another thing they are doing is saying to the media that they are not trying to control the media and media releases, and are open for the media to talk to their employees involved in the clean up at beach level This was an altogether different story the other day when local US media went calling on the beaches to canvas those working at the coal face (so to speak). This is a classic case of corporate politics. Will they succeed, or is this just too big now, and too messy to control. It is pretty hard to put a positive spin on a situation such as this, especially when the media continues to show images of birds covered in oil dying on the beaches. |









BP is getting hit heavily in the press for their continued bungling of the oil spill in the Gulf off the coast of America.
